Flower Essence Courses
Courses embracing all the requisite criteria can go forward for validation by the BFVEA. Following the 2003 AGM only courses offered by Tutor Members can be endorsed. A Tutor Member must be an existing Practitioner Member with evidence of at least two years experience. To gain validation of a course the Tutor Member must submit a full syllabus plus an example of coursework and lesson plans.
Evidence of insurance cover for courses must be provided and the Tutor must agree to distribute to all students the BFVEA Course Evaluation Forms, that are then sent directly back to the BFVEA.
Distant Learning Courses
Following the AGM on March 16th 2002, items 3,10,16 plus client management must be tutor led. The rest may be distance-learned as long as it is equivalent to no more than 80% of the tutor-led course. Postal courses covering the whole of the guidlines remain outside BFVEA recognition.
There are now several courses in the UK being taught to these guidelines. Successful students from these courses can be immediately accepted as BFVEA Practitioner Members.
Prior Learning
The BFVEA accepts that people often learn from more than one source. Individuals can request that prior learning from several places, certificated or not, plus self-taught topics, can be taken into account for Practitioner Membership by Experience.
Many Tutors offering the full BFVEA course accept people wishing to attend small sections of their course, as study towards the Practitioner Membership. Please approach the individual Tutors.
Completion of the BFVEA requirements allows for practitioners to apply for insurance under the BFVEA scheme.
